Rich in lauric acid
Coconut oil is rich in healthy unsaturated acids such as caprylic fatty acid, capric and lauric.
It consists of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) that are easier to
digest than long strings found in other saturated fats in most vegetable
oils, and are immediately processed and burned by the liver.
It is therefore of great interest for culinary use to replace butter and other vegetable oils.
The lauric acid found in coconut oil can increase your HDL (healthy) and lower your LDL (bad) cholesterol.
When lauric acid is treated in the body, it is transformed into
monolaurin which has anti-inflammatory properties, anti-microbial,
anti-fongiqques and antioxidant.
The benefits noted quickly
- Consumed regularly (one tablespoon per day), coconut oil will provide you energy and boost your natural defenses.
- A mouth bath of coconut oil will also be appreciated by your gums (in case of bleeding, bacteria, periodontics).
