Anti-inflammatory: A 2004 study published in the journal Oncogene found that curcumin (as well as resveratrol) were effective alternatives to the drugs aspirin, ibuprofen, sulindac, phenylbutazone, naproxen, indomethacin, diclofenac, dexamethasone, celecoxib, and tamoxifen in exerting anti-inflammatory and anti-proliferative activity against tumor cells.
Consume Turmeric with Beneficial Fats
Curcumin is fat-soluble. Without fat, the compound doesn't dissolve properly, and then curcumin has a tough time getting into the gut and being absorbed into the bloodstream and then into the cells that needs the compound.
Try consuming turmeric with healthy fats like avocado, olive oil, and coconut oil.
